About me

I’ve been coding since grade school, back when it seemed like making an owl draw a line and a red rectangle was a biblical problem. Was everyone introduced to algorithms via the old “tell me how to open the window shades” or do they use “tell me how to make a peanut butter sandwich” nowadays?

That early obsession with computers turned into a passion for computational theory, discrete math, group theory, and game theory—and eventually, a degree in Computer Science (with a Math minor) from Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

I’ve worked in early-stage startups and large engineering departments, built and led teams, and shipped software that solves real problems. I care about code, but I care just as much about the people writing it.

Outside of work, I’m a writer (short stories mostly), an avid reader of fantasy, and a big believer in the magic of collaborative storytelling—especially at a table with friends and dice. I also lift heavy things for fun.

Thanks for stopping by. Hit me up if you’re in Colorado, we can grab coffee.
